Uterine Fibroids

What are Uterine Fibroids?

Uterine fibroids are tissue growths that occur either on or around the uterus. While these growths are non-cancerous, as they grow, they may create pressure on nearby organs and/or tissues, thus leading to worsened symptoms. A woman living with uterine fibroids may experience these symptoms:
● Pressure or pain in the pelvic region
● Bloating
● Substantial menstrual bleeding
● Urinary incontinence
● Increased exhaustion
● Lowered Libido
● And more

Uterine fibroids are a commonly occurring non-cancerous growth in women across the country. Developing primarily in women between the ages of 30 and 50, they have the ability to significantly impact both a patient’s health and overall wellness.

In addition to uterine fibroids, many women today may also deal with another pelvic pain- inducing condition: pelvic congestion syndrome, or PCS.

That being said, our team is dedicated to relieving women of any pain or discomfort they may experience as a result of their conditions. By diagnosing and treating them fully, we are specialized in leading them down the path to a healthy recovery.

We detect and treat Uterine Fibroids.

Consider a screening to see if you are at risk.

Uterine Fibroid embolization

What is Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)?

Uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) is a minimally-invasive and FDA-approved method of treatment that eliminates fibroids, thus providing relief from the ensuing symptoms. UFE is performed using catheter insertion. Once positioned near to the fibroid itself, the physician will deliver minuscule particles through the catheter to help block blood flow to the fibroid, effectively shrinking the fibroids and eliminating the symptoms.

Today, UFE has a satisfaction rate of over 90% in addition to many benefits, including…

● No anesthesia is needed for the procedure
● Minimal downtime post-procedure
● Completed within our state-of-the-art outpatient facility
● And more
